(BAD AXE) — An Ubly man has been sentenced for his role in the theft of nearly $19,000 in televisions from the Bad Axe Wal-Mart over the course of several weeks. 23-year old Derrick Grifka was sentenced to 5 to 25-years in prison during his hearing Monday in Huron County Circuit Court. Grifka is one of three defendants that took the televisions during several stops at the store from April 24 through May 19. Authorities say the suspects would load up shopping carts with the merchandise and walk out the front doors. The televisions were then sold or traded for illegal drugs.
