Davis has 3 hits, leads Great Lakes to 12-0 win over Lansing

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Brendon Davis, Ibandel Isabel, Logan Landon and Saige Jenco recorded three hits each, as Great Lakes beat the Lansing Lugnuts 12-0 on Tuesday. Davis doubled and singled twice, scoring three runs and driving home a couple. Isabel was a double short of the cycle, scoring three runs while also driving in three. Great Lakes scored in six different innings in the victory, including the eighth, when it crossed the plate for four runs, including a single by Landon that scored Darien Tubbs. Great Lakes starter Yadier Alvarez (2-1) picked up the win after not allowing a hit or run over five innings. Opposing starter Ryan Borucki (8-4) took the loss in the Midwest League game after giving up four runs and six hits over five innings. The Lugnuts were held off the scoreboard for the ninth time this season, while the Loons’ staff recorded their eighth shutout of the year.
