(AREA) — A group of 47 recruits were sworn in as members of the state police at their graduation in Lansing Friday. Gov. Rick Snyder delivered the keynote during the 129th Trooper Recruit School ceremony. The new troopers have been assigned to posts across the state. Trooper Stephanie Chang of Troy and Trooper Gregory Martin of Portland were assigned to the Caro Post and Troopers Brandon Franklin of Brownstown and Tyler Kolomyski of Chesterfield will work out of the Lapeer Post. The 129th Trooper Recruit School was the first of four schools this year, as well as a motor carrier officer recruit school. The 130th Trooper Recruit School began June 5 with graduation on November 4 and the 131st Trooper Recruit School began July 17 with graduation on December 22.
