(BROWN CITY) — The Brown City School Board Monday evening approved the resignation of board member Mark Mittlestat effective immediately. After a random draw of the two non-incumbent candidates running for unopposed seats and a majority vote by the board, Mary Lou Jacobs was appointed to fill the remainder of the term through December 31. In other business, the board approved a motion allowing Brown City students to attend home athletic events free of charge. Elementary students must be accompanied by an adult and all students will be required to pay admission to all MHSAA sponsored tournaments.
