IMLAY CITY (AP) — Police say a man broke into to the city hall in Imlay City, sat at a desk and fatally shot himself.
Police Chief Scott Pike, says the body was discovered by the city manager around 7 a.m. Tuesday before the building was open to the public. Pike says the man’s estranged wife works at city hall.
A note was found, although the police chief declined to disclose the contents.
City hall in Imlay City will be closed for the rest of the week.
