Sanilac Board of Commissioners to fill vacant seat

(SANDUSKY) — The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners is expected to fill the vacant seat on the board at a special meeting tonight at 5:00 p.m. Six candidates have filed to fill the unexpired term of the late James Ruby, who served as fourth district commissioner. The term ends on December 31st. 
The candidates include former Marlette Mayor Don Redman, Marlette Township supervisor Kirk Dale, former county commissioner Bob Wood, Flynn Township clerk and supervisor Bob Conely, Sandusky businesswoman Lynette Lawrence Kirk, and Marjorie Ross, who has served on the Sanilac County Council on Aging.
Voters will elect a new commssioner in the November election.
