Woman caught breaking into vehicles in Lexington

(LEXINGTON) — Lexington police responded to a call Sunday evening reporting that a woman was attempting to break in to vehicles in the 7300 block of Huron Avenue. Lexington officer Brandon Tucker responded to the area, where the victim stated that the woman had just fled the area in a green Mercury Sable with Virginia license plates. Officer Tucker located and stopped the car and made contact with a 54-year old Washington Township woman. During the investigation, it was determined that the woman was connected to at least three larcenies from vehicles in the Lexington downtown and harbor areas. The woman was also found to be in possession of marijuana at the time of the incident. She was arrested and lodged in the Sanilac County jail on charges stemming from the incident.
