(Port Huron Township) – A fatal accident earlier this morning has closed a portion of westbound I 94. According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, deputies are investigating the incident that took place on westbound I 94 at the Michigan Road overpass around 5:45 this morning. Authorities said a man went over the railing of the overpass, into the path of an on-coming semi-truck, and was killed instantly.
Motorists on westbound I 94, and those traveling Michigan Road, are advised to seek alternate routes as both roadways are closed for an investigation by the Accident Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office. Police expected the closures to remain in place until some time later today.
