UPDATE: Monday, Nov 7 2:45 p.m. – (Sanilac County) – As voters prepare to go to the polls tomorrow, Sanilac County Clerk Denise McGuire reported record numbers of registered voters have received absentee ballots. According to the Clerk 4,132 ballots have been issued by clerks throughout the county. In the 2012 Presidential Election, she said a total of 3,300 ballots were issued. Sanilac County has 29,391 registered voters eligible to vote tomorrow, an increase of 863 new voters since the August Primary. McGuire said the Croswell-Lexington and Marlette school districts have school board member races on the ballot while other communities have a number of local issues, all of which has impacted voter registration totals, as has the Presidential race. Polls open at 7:00 am tomorrow and close at 8 pm.
