(Sanilac County) – After five more jurisdictions came aboard with modern technology in March, Sanilac County is now countywide E-pollbook functional, making election day work much easier for all parties involved. Sanilac County Clerk Denise McGuire said the county was among the first to have a pilot test designation to try out the state program that makes it easier to process voters at the polls on election day. McGuire said, “Technology is a wonderful thing and all of the clerks throughout the county use this program. It’s wonderful.” McGuire said she encourages all election workers to take their turn at operating the system to become familiar with it and for tabulating final results at the end of the day. Flynn Township was one of the first townships to have the system, according to McGuire who concluded, “I am a big advocate of this program and making sure everyone can use it.” Clerks throughout the county operate the system on laptop computers.
