UPDATE: Nov. 10 3:30 p.m. (Tuscola County) – Turns out, things weren’t quite what they seemed. Troopers from the MSP Caro Post were investigating a report of an assault that had supposedly taken place October 30th in Wells Township in Tuscola County.
The self-proclaimed victim told police she had stopped to help a motorist and was forced in to a vehicle where she was sexually assaulted. Physical injuries were observed, police said.
Since the initial investigation, and with the cooperation of a Flint area TV station, police have learned the entire case was false and was “entirely devoid of merit.” Police continue to look in to circumstances involved with the false report.
