(Port Huron) – Two Port Huron residents are lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center following a drug raid in Port Huron last night. According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the St. Clair County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 3200 block of Avondale at 10:00 Tuesday night. The raid concluded an investigation into the sales of narcotics in the Port Huron area.
DTF members located and seized heroin, marijuana and suboxone, an opioid based analogue drug. Also seized during the raid were scales, drug packaging materials, cell phones and cash.
A 51 year old man and 24 year old woman were arrested without incident at the home. They are expected to be charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver suboxone, possession of marijuana, maintaining a drug house and being a habitual offender. The St. Clair County Special Response Team, Port Huron Police Road Patrol and U.S. Border Patrol K-9 Unit assisted the DTF.
