(Port Huron Township) The St. Clair County Drug Task Force seized $35,000 worth of the drug while executing a search warrant at a home in the 2400 block of Division Street in Port Huron Township Wednesday night.
The Sheriff’s K-9 Unit made a traffic stop, contacting a 21 year old Port Huron Township man who was detained and later arrested, while DTF agents executed a search warrant at the home.
A loaded handgun along with ammunition, marijuana, digital scales, drug packaging, a narcotics press, cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash were seized as a result of the search.
A second suspect, a 21 year old Port Huron man, was also arrested at the home. A 3 year old child who was in the house was taken to a relative’s home.
The suspects are expected to face charges including possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, child endangerment, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition and maintaining a drug house.
They are lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center.
