A 57-year old Port Huron man was arrested after leading police on a chase through St. Clair County Tuesday night. Two other suspects, a 60 year old Port Huron man and a 34 year old Port Huron woman, were arrested at a home in the 900 block of Beard St. in Port Huron.
According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, Drug Task Force agents located a vehicle driven by the suspected drug dealer at Wadhams Road and I-94 in St. Clair Township shortly after 9:30 p.m. When a fully marked Sheriff’s K-9 Unit attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled northbound. Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol vehicles assisted and eventually stopped the vehicle at Wadhams and Dove Road in Kimball Township.
While the suspect was fleeing, he threw a large bag of narcotics and his cell phone out the window that were later recovered. Following the traffic stop, a search warrant was executed with police seizing a total of $8,000 worth of heroin, $2,500 worth of crack cocaine, marijuana, analog pills, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, a cell phone and two vehicles.
DTF agents executed a second search warrant this afternoon of a second vehicle at the Beard Street home, seizing approximately $2,500 worth of marijuana from the car.
The suspects face charges including possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, fleeing and eluding police, resisting and obstructing police, possession of analog drugs, maintaining a drug house, maintaining a drug vehicle and being a habitual offender.
