(Moore Township) – A three-vehicle accident at the intersection of W. Sanilac Road and Juhl Rd late Monday caused the roadways to be closed for two hours.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Caro Post responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. and said a westbound vehicle driven by a 88-year old Snover man collided with another vehicle that had stopped to make a left turn on to Juhl. The impact of the collision sent the second vehicle in to the path of an eastbound car who collided head-on with the second vehicle.
Fire personnel on the scene said seven people were involved in the accident, none injured seriously. Troopers said the eastbound car had two young children in car seats, ages three and one.
Police said seat belts were being worn at the time of the accident. Victims, all with minor injuries, were transported to McKenzie Health Systems while the Snover man was treated and then transferred to Covenant Cooper in Saginaw.
Moore Township and Sandusky fire department, along with Sanilac EMS, assisted Troopers at the scene.
