Thousands of people lined the streets of Sandusky for the 23rd annual lighted parade that capped a full day of activities in the community. For the second year in a row, the Sandusky Community Fire Department was the winner of the “Mayor’s Trophy” for best overall entry.
Tri County Equipment won first place in the Agriculture Dealer and farm supply category. Cross Culture Ministries placed first among the Religious entries, while the Sandusky Cub Scouts and Lions Club was first in the non-profit service division. The Family Farm and Home float was judged the best non-farm business entry.
The Sandusky Chamber of Commerce also announced the winners in the residential and business Christmas decorating contest. In the residential division,Rick Cook has the most elegant display, Suzie and Clyde May had the top character display, while honors for the best nativity display went to Brian and Sara Dickendesher. In the business section…The D.Q, Grill and Chill was first for lighting, and the Tribune was judged most creative.
