Over 100 riders took part in nighttime racing at the Lucky Thumb Motorcycle Club’s event near Cass City this past weekend, much to the delight of more than 700 fans. Race organizers said everything from motorcycles, to snowmobiles to quads took their turn racing on the ice in 36 different classes. 142 riders of all ages, several from our listening area, put a great show for race fans who left looking forward to the next race set for January 21st.
Among those winning from the area were Traci Woodward of Snover in the 450 motorcycle class and Brian Woodward, also of Snover, took second in the 30 and over motorcycle class. Kolby Gyomory of Marlette took top honors in the 12 year old class of 200 cc motorcycles while Kelsey Verbeek of Cass City and Angel Ahern of Reese finished first and second in the Powder Puff class.
Nathan VanCamp of Croswell won the 250 motorcycle class and Scott Cook of Cass City won the two wheel quad class. For complete results, go to http://luckythumbmotorcycleclub.com/.
