High school basketball results from Friday January 20th
(Croswell) – Claire Knapp tossed in 20 points and had 12 rebounds and Rebecca Oden added nine points to lead the Croswell-Lexington Pioneers to a 45-29 win over Armada in BWAC play Friday night. A 27-15 second half advantage helped seal the key league win for the Lady Pioneers. As a result of the win, Cros-Lex now has a two game lead over second place Armada at 5-0 and are 7-2 overall.  In other girls games, it was:

In Boys action; In a game heard on WTGV 97.7 Friday night, Harbor Beach trailed the entire game, until it mattered most, hitting a three-point shot with less than a minute to play to cap a furious rally and hand thte Redskins a disappointing 57-54 loss. Sandusky had maintained a lead of more than 10 points for most of the game until being outscored 21-8 in the fourth quarter. James Schelke led the winners with 15 points while Brady Kirsch and Andrew Seimen had 14 points each. Sandusky was led by Jared Bender who had a great game, finishing with a game-high 18 points, Joe Wentzel tossed in 12 points and Ben Kreger scored nine.
Marlette kept their perfect season alive with a lopsided 75 to 42 win over Memphis. Four Red Raiders scored in double figures, led by Barrett George with 15 points, Charles McClatchie had 14 while Isaac Dale had 12 points and and Bryce George chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The winners, now 11-0 overall, led 46-26 at the half.
Ubly turned in a solid effort in a 58 to 45 win over Brown City despite the Green Devils’ Andrew Geiger’s double-double. Geiger finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds while Anthony Ford, Calvin Cook and Caleb Muxlow all added eight.
