(Sandusky) – Following the sale of their VFW hall on the south side of town, Brown City VFW Post 2943 has merged with the Sandusky post. The move was made after an invitation from the Sandusky Post Commander, learning of Brown City’s situation. Along with the merger, the Brown City Post has donated assets of more than $36,000 to their new post. A large missile that has been an icon at the Brown City post will be moved to the city’s memorial site. City Manager Clint Holmes said he has the volunteer manpower and the needed equipment to move the missile late this year.
