The Sanilac County Parks and Recreation board has received permission to purchase three new gators for county parks. Board President Roger Ballard said one of the gators being used was almost 20 years old while the other two were experiencing mechanical issues. Ballard said he received a quote from Tri-County Equipment ion Sandusky to allow the machines to be traded in, making a difference of around $18,500 for the units.
The gators are used around campgrounds at Lexington, Evergreen and Forester parks.
