Police investigate Croswell bomb threat

(UPDATE 3:30 P.M. THURSDAY) – Croswell police responded to the high school early this morning, after school officials notified them they had found a bomb threat in the school. Croswell Police Chief Dave Hall said the department was calledaround 6:30 a.m. when a note was found in a boys bathroom, threatening to blow up the school. Students arriving for classes, both by private vehicle and busses, were re-routed to the middle school and remained in lockdown until 10:30 a.m. Hall said some parents came to the school to take their children home.
More than 10 officers, along with the Michigan State Police canine, searched the school and found nothing. Croswell was assisted by the Sanilac County sheriff department, Lexington police and the Michigan State Police.
Hall said the investigation continues and classes will be held as normal on Friday.
