Marlette seventh grader suspect in bomb threat

Police investigate bomb threat

 
Marlette Police Chief Brian McGinnis said the student believed responsible for the bomb threat at the Marlette Junior-Senior high school on Monday has been located. Information on the investigation which led to the suspect will be forwarded to the Sanilac County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of charges.
The threat was reported Monday about 30 minutes before the end of the school day. Police were called and the school was swept by officers and a K-9 unit from the Lapeer police department.
The threat was discovered in a restroom on the second level of the school building. McGinnis said the suspect is a 12-year old seventh grader.
