Large amount of LSD confiscated by DTF agents

Police investigate LSD sales

 
 
(St. Clair) – A lengthy investigation by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force ended Friday with the seizure of a large amount of narcotics.
According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the DTF conducted the investigation into the sales of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) in the county. The investigation ended with the execution of a search warrant in the 1300 block of Cedar Street in the city of St. Clair.
Once inside, approximately $2800 worth of LSD was located and seized. Also seized during the raid was about $2000 worth of marijuana wax, $200 worth of marijuana, scales, drug packaging materials and cash.
“This is a very large amount of LSD to be seized in St. Clair County,” said Sheriff Donnellon. “I am proud that our DTF worked this investigation hard for several weeks to get this dangerous drug off our streets.”
A 20 year old resident of the home was arrested at the home. He is expected to face charges including possession with intent to deliver LSD, possession with intent to deliver marijuana wax and maintaining a drug house.
