Firemen cleanup the scene after a two vehicle accident in Sandusky Friday afternoon
Sandusky firemen didn’t have to go far for a two vehicle accident late Friday afternoon. The scene was right in front of their fire hall on South Elk St.
Two Sanilac EMS units and deputies from the Sanilac County Sheriff Department responded to the crash just before 4 p.m., diverting traffic around the scene while the scene was investigated and cleaned up.
According to emergency personnel on scene, two pickup trucks collided after one had stopped to make a turn and the other drove into the back end of the first truck.
Occupants in both vehicles were taken to McKenzie Health Systems for treatment of their non-life threatening injuries.
More information from the accident will be updated after police release the report
