Recreation of all kinds is in full swing this month, as warmer temperatures have finally arrived. Temps in the 90s are forecast for the upcoming weekend. Among the avid sports enthusiasts are boat owners throughout the area who are venturing out into Lake Huron Huron. Harbors throughout the Thumb, including the one at Port Sanilac, are filled with vessels ready for a summer of fun. Also planned are a multitude of festivals around the area, including Brown City Days this weekend and the annual Thumb Festival in Sandusky at the end of the month. County 4-H fairs in Huron and Sanilac counties will take place later this summer, in July and August.
