A version of the Moving Wall will be in Almont Thursday for a five day stay in southern Lapeer County. Organizers said the half-scale replica is a great reminder of those who sacrificed in the Vietnam War and an opportunity for veterans and families to see the names of loved ones. The Wall will be located on the ball fields north of the old Almont Elementary School on Church Street. Over 100 motorcyclists will escort the Wall in to town Thursday morning, prior to several scheduled ceremonies.
