(Speaker Township) – A 17-year old Melvin girl had to be freed after being trapped under her vehicle early Thursday morning, following a one-vehicle rollover accident in Speaker Township.
According to the Sanilac County sheriff department, a family member called 911 around 12:15 a.m. and said the girl was underneath the vehicle after losing control on Gardner Line Road, near Duquette.
Speaker Township fire department used the Jaws of Life to free her and she was transported to a Port Huron area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Deputies said she was traveling too fast for road conditions and a seatbelt was not being used.
