An 18-year old Yale woman’s horse, “Moonshine” is being credited with rescuing a man who had suffered an accident last week. Amanda Thorson was trying to move her horse to a new barn and while going down Jeddo Road, the animal refused to continue, and began walking in circles. A following vehicle shut off it’s engine, thinking the horse was scared, and cries for help were heard. The good samaritans found a 61-year old man lying behind a barn with a riding lawn mower on top of him. They called for help and assisted the man until help arrived. He is in a Detroit area hospital recovering from serious injuries.
