(Worth Township) – After many months of uncertainty, it now appears the court-ordered sewer project in Worth Township is about to finally get underway.
A public hearing to discuss special assessments has been scheduled for August 7th at 6:30 at the Knights of Columbus Hall with work expected to begin a short time after that.
Residents in the special assessment area are expected to pay about $15,000 each and have a 40-year time frame to pay the assessment at an interest rate of just over 2%.
The project is required by MDEQ to be completed by September of 2018.
