(SANDUSKY) – Sanilac County Administrator Kathy Dorman and other county officials have been working on the new proposed 2018 budget that Commissioners will consider at next week’s meeting.
Dorman said among the factors considered in making the budget were wage increases for union and nonunion staff, State Revenue remaining fully funded and maintaining existing staffing levels and county services.
Sanilac County is projected to start their 2018 fiscal year next month with a fund balance of $1.5 million dollars or 9% of the draft budget. The 2017 fund balance was nearly $1.9 million.
If approved, the 2018 County budget would have projected revenue of over $15 million, including the anticipated fund balance.
