Lost hunter found by State Police

(BAY COUNTY) – A 55-year old Frankenmuth man had to be rescued late Friday evening after an afternoon of duck hunting in Akron Township. According to the Michigan State Police, the man’s wife called after her husband did not return home.
The missing hunter was believed to be alone in the area of Ringle Road and M-25 in Tuscola County. With the assistance of OnStar, the hunter’s vehicle was located in the area of Bay County’s Hampton Township.
A Michigan State Police helicopter crew located the hunter’s vehicle around 1 a.m.Troopers said the hunter became disoriented and was unable to locate his vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
