Sanilac County Drug Task Force Director James Johnson issues the following press release late Tuesday morning:
(MINDEN CITY) – “The Sanilac County Drug Task Force supported by numerous citizen calls and tips along with multiple hours of surveillance work showing illegal drug traffic initiated a search warrant for a residence in the 1600 block of Main St. in the Village of Minden City on Monday, March 26th at 6:25PM.
Investigators arrested on scene the 25 year old male Minden City homeowner as well as a 21 year old male from Deckerville that was staying at the residence.
The two were transported to the Sanilac County Jail where they await arraignment on initial charges that include Felony possession of Acid and Misdemeanor marijuana charges.
Investigators also found a young female in the house and later located identification to indicate that she was a 16 year old juvenile from Croswell. She was later turned over to her parents at the Sheriff’s Office.
With the items seized at the home, and pending lab results the two males may face additional charges up to or including possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to deliver acid, possession of Cocaine, possession of Ketamine, possession of schedule II narcotics, Felony firearms, maintaining a drug house, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The investigation is ongoing while awaiting the lab results. The Drug Task Force was assisted on scene by the St. Clair County K-9 team and the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office Uniform division.
