Police continue to investigate the cause of death, after a 29-year old Otter Lake man allegedly died after consuming a liquid substance that contained white powder. Officers from the City of Lapeer and Lapeer County sheriff department made contact with a stopped vehicle around 2:30 a.m. last Wednesday. Evan Donohoe, a passenger in the vehicle, was unable to respond to police instructions and after being removed from the vehicle, police discovered he was unresponsive, according to reports. Despite effforts to revive Donohoe, he was pronounced dead at an area hoispital a short time later. A toxicology report is expected to determine what the substance was that Donohoe ingested.
