(FLYNN TOWNSHIP) – A rollover accident near the intersection of Aitken and Shephard Roads in Sanilac County’s Flynn Township Thursday afternoon around 4:00pm seriously injured two people. According to Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies, a 24-year-old Snover man was driving his SUV east on Aiken Road just west of Shephard Road when he lost control of the vehicle and flipped one time before landing in a ditch on the east side of Sheppard Road.
The Snover man was transported to Marlette Regional Hospital then later flown by helicopter to Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw for treatment. His passenger a 22-year-old Peck woman, was transported to Marlette Regional Hospital then later transferred by ambulance to Hurley Hospital in Flint for treatment.
Both of those injured were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle.
Police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident.
