A Tuscola County jury found a 60 year old Caro area man guilty of six charges last week, stemming from an attack on his wife that turned fatal earlier last year. Among the charges, William Williams was found guilty of assault with intent to murder. Williams had claimed his house had been broken into, after police said he assaulted his wife with an ax maul, went to work and returned home 15 hours later to make his home look like a break-in had happened. According to court officials, his sentencing date is still pending.
