Quick action by law enforcement officers likely saved the life of a 21-year old Tuscola County man Monday evening, after flames engulfed the home he was in. MSP Troopers were alerted to a structure fire in Juniata Township around 6 p.m. and found the home fully involved when they arrived. Forcible entry was made into the residence where Troopers and an officer from Aklron-Fairgrove discovered the man sleeping in a basement bedroom. He was carried to safety, along with 10 dogs that were confined to cages. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Troopers were assisted by the Akron-Fairgrove Police Department, Mobile Medical Response, and the Caro Fire Department.
