Marlette city officials are looking for a new City Manager after Cory Schmidt submitted his resignation last month. According to his letter of resignation, he will conclude his stay in Marlette June 8th, moving to Williamston where he will take over similar duties. Schmidt, who served as Marlette’s City Manager for two years, said the move was based on family considerations. Marlette will now advertise for Schmidt’s replacement and hope to fill the position in the coming weeks.
