One person was arrested following a mishap in the Harbor Beach harbor as a result of Friday’s windstorm. Police said a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter was used to pull five people from a boat that had lost power and was blown gainst rocks. High winds prevented the stranded people from being rescued by boat. EMS crews checked out the stranded boaters, with no one requiring further medical attention. Police suspected one of the people on board was operating the vessel while intoxicated. The boat’s operator was taken to Huron County Jail and is expected to face formal charges today.
