The Sandusky city council has given approval for Countryside Free Methodist Church to use the city park for several activities during the upcoming summer. Theresa Kohler, Director of Children’s Ministries at the church told council they would like to host three events, including Popsicles in the Park that would become a weekly event and free to anyone in the park at the time the group is at Doerr Field. A back-pack giveaway, for students preparing to return to school this fall, is planned by the church for August 18th.
