Lapeer City Commission members are putting the finishing touches on thjeir 2018-2019 budget and expect to approve the budget following Monday evenings public hearing. In the budget, the city is planning capital improvement projects of almost $1.4 million dollars on Genesee Stret water mains, another $678,000 dollars on Davison Road improvements and $160,000 on a pedestrian trail on Genesee Street and Davison Road. Lapeer also plans to make a $350,000 final payment for a new fire truck and $72,000 for two new police vehicles.
