There were some anxious moments along the Thomas Edison boardwalk, near the Blue Water Bridge, Monday night when a fisherman was startled to see a Great lakes Freighter coming straight at him. In shock, the man reeled in his fishing equipment and reacted quick enough to catch the event on his phone video. According to an official with the shipping company, a crew member aboard the freighter reacted to an incorrect command that guided the vessel straight towards the wall. Quick, evasive action prevented the freighter from crashing into the wall. The freighter was carrying clean refined oil, heading to the Soo and Thunder Bay, Ontario.
