The Port Huron Township fire department responded to a four-alarm structure fire at a home in the 2700 block of Range Road just before noon Tuesday. Fire officials said the home sustained extensive damage and no one was home at the time of the fire. Motorists driving by the home called 911 and reported smoke coming from the first floor. Firefighters found active fire on the first floor that had extended into the second floor. Fire officials have asked for fire investigators to assist in determining the cause of the fire. Port Huron, Marysville and Kimball fire departments assisted Port Huron Township.
