Elkton Village Council members had energy on their minds when they discussed progress on a solar energy project on property it owns. The village has been working with Cypress Creek, a commercial solar energy company. They were told they are still in discussions with DTE Energy on purchasing the electricity that would be generated. While the village has previously discussed a second parcel of property for another solar project, there is no formal agreement with the devoloper.
