As of mid-week, M-53 from I-69 to Newark Road in Imlay City will have single lane closures in each direction to accommodate permit work that includes plantings in the roadway median and the installation of a sign. The work is pat of Imlay City’s new Gateway project, welcoming traffic from the south to the city. Motorists should expect the closure of the left lane -the inside lane; from June 13 to the 29th, followed by intermittent shoulder and lane closures through early September while crews work on completing the project.
