A Yale area family of four escaped a motorcycle – vehicle accident with minor injuries Wednesday night in Sanilac County’s Maple Valley Township. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, a 23-year old Brown City man was northbound on his Harley Davidson on Shephard Road around 7 p.m., July 4, when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Burns Line Road, west of Brown City. Investigators said the motorcycle struck the side of an SUV drive by a 30-year old Brockway woman. The woman, and three passengers ranging in age from three to nine, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. They were all wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Brown City man, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Mclaren Lapeer. Names of the victims are being withheld pending further investigation and possible criminal charges.
