The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office kept busy throughout the holiday weekend, receiving 630 calls for service. Deputies handled 156 complaints, made three arrests, performed 84 traffic stops with 15 citations issued and issued 67 verbal warnings. 18 subjects were booked into the county jail, stemming from arrests by deputies and other police agencies throughout the county and the courts. The Marine Division was on the water both in Port Sanilac and Lexington Harbors, responding to calls for assistance but no water related injuries were reported or citations issued.
