The City of Yale and Brockway Township continue to battle over contract details of a Medical Fire Responder proposal, despite a July 1st effective date passing. Last year, voters in Yale approved a new millage for MFR service in the city but city officials did not have a plan in place when the July 1st millage date became effective. Both sides failed to reach a workable agreement, although the Township said in good faith, they would respond to medical emergencies in Yale regardless of contract details not being worked out. City council meets Monday night to further discuss the issue while the township’s regular meeting is Tuesday night.
