(SPEAKER TOWNSHIP) – Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident just before noon Saturday on Brockway Road near Galbraith Line Road in Speaker Township.
According to police, a 49-year-old Melvin man was traveling north on Brockway Road in his pickup when he lost control the truck and rolled. Deputies believe he was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Police suspect alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. The Melvin man was taken to Mckenzie Health System for treatment of his injuries.
Speaker Township fire department assisted deputies on the scene.
Charges are expected to be requested from the Sanilac County Prosecutors Office.
