(Port Huron) An investigation into the sales of crack cocaine in St. Clair County ended Thursday evening with an arrest and the seizure of drugs and a gun.
According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the St. Clair County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Howard Street shortly after 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
Once inside, members of the DTF located and seized about $1300 worth of crack cocaine, along with an AR-15 rifle.
Kenneth Alford, age 34, of Port Huron was arrested at the scene of the raid and lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. He was arraigned on Sunday before Magistrate Susan Borovich.
Alford is charged with delivery/manufacture of crack cocaine, less than 50 grams, felony firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and habitual 2nd offender.
Alford is being held on a $25,000 cash/surety bond. He is next expected in court for a probable cause hearing on September 3rd at 9:00 a.m. in Port Huron’s 72nd District Court.
