The Canada Border Services Agency, Southern Ontario Region, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, London Detachment, announced Friday the discovery of another 50 bricks of suspected cocaine at the Blue Water Bridge and the arrest of a 55-year-old Quebec man. A man driving a tractor-trailer arrived at the Blue Water Bridge Commercial Operations in Point Edward, Ontario December 2nd and was referred for a secondary inspection, according to a press release from the Canada Border Services Agency. Officers began a vehicle examination and located 50 bricks of suspected cocaine in the cab of the semi-truck weighing approximately 50 kilograms. The CBSA seized the suspected cocaine and arrested the driver. The RCMP attended and took custody of the subject and evidence. This is the second seizure of 50 bricks of suspected cocaine at the bridge in the past month.
